PURCHASE AND BOOK YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

  • You can purchase and schedule as many sessions as you would like with the photoshoot packages. Each session is a short photoshoot—about 3 minutes—for a single costume and multiple quick poses.

Your scheduled session time is a 15 minute window that you will share with other dancers. Again, each booked dancer in that 15 minute window will get a short 3-minute time for their photoshoot; it will move fast!

There are hundreds of dancers that need to get photographed in a limited amount of time. Please be ready to go when you arrive to your session. Depending on how previous sessions and class photos went, we may be ahead of schedule or behind schedule at multiple points throughout the day. Try to stay positive and be flexible. We suggest showing up a few minutes early to your session, if possible, just in case we can squeeze you in.

While you are welcome to use small props and try different poses, please refrain from props and poses that take extra time to setup and/or move. We will also have dance staff on hand to help with posing and basic costume adjustments during the session.

  • You are paying for digital photo filet and the photographer’s time; not just time for the mini-session, but also the many hours spent processing the photos. (For perspective, a typical 15-minute session, on location, with a photographer, can be as much as $250.)

Once all the 1000s of photos from the Pre-rehearsal photo day are processed, you will receive an email to our online gallery. There, you will be able to download high resolution photos from your sessions, as well as your class photo(s).

You will get at least 2 photos for each session. Typically one full length shot and one closer up shot, but it may be 2 full length, 2 close-ups, different poses, etc. If your posing is fast and you work well with the photographer (good facial expressions, eyes open, etc.), you may get more than 2 photos per session.

If you want to have prints made right away, you will be able to do that on the gallery site as well. However, that is optional. You’ve already paid for the digital photos, so you can keep them and print them however you want.

  • All class photos will be provided to our students for FREE! You do not need to schedule a photoshoot appointment if that is the only photo you want. Just be sure to show up to your scheduled class photo during In-Studio rehearsal!

  • PLEASE NOTE: the sessions are based on per-dancer pricing. If you purchase a 3-session package, it is for 3 different sessions/costumes on the SAME dancer.

The packages do not split among multiple dancers (friends, siblings, cousins, etc.). If you want “buddy photos” (multiple dancers in one photoshoot), the dancer who the session was booked for must be in all of that session’s photos.

You, of course, may purchase a multiple session package and only do buddy photos with one or more of the sessions. Again, as long as the dancer who booked the package is in all the photos.

  • STEP 1: Choose the photoshoot you wish to purchase and click “Add to Cart”.

If you want to purchase multiple packages, click the “<< Back” on the Checkout page and add another package to the cart.

STEP 2: On the checkout page, enter the information for the person purchasing the package; typically a parent or guardian. This is also the person who will get an email receipt, emailed reminders, and eventually, a link to download the photos when they are ready. DO NOT enter the name of the dancer who will be photographed in this section (unless you are a dancer paying for your own session).

Click “Pay Now and Complete Order”.

STEP 3: Enter your billing details and then click “Pay & Finish”.

STEP 4: You will be shown a receipt on the screen. It will also be emailed to you. The receipt has a unique code used to schedule however many sessions you purchased.

Click the “Schedule” link in the receipt and you will be taken to the calendar to book your session.

STEP 5: You will schedule one session at a time. When you select a session time, you will enter your information again, and then you will be asked for the “Dancer to be Photographed”. That is where you put the dancer’s name. You will need to enter the same dancer name for any sessions purchased as a package.

If your unique session code (from your receipt) is not showing in the “Code or Email” box, type it in now and hit “Apply”. If it is already there, just click “Complete Appointment”.

  • Yes, you can do “buddy photos”. Just remember, the session is for the dancer who purchased the session and they must be in every photo regardless who else is in the photo (no individual shots of your buddy; they need to purchase their own session for that).

If you purchase a package, you can do some of your sessions by yourself and some with a buddy if you want. You can also do all of them with a buddy, or none with a buddy. It is up to you.

Please have your buddy ready to go with you during your time slot! If you are missing a buddy when it is your time, we will try to push you to the end of the time slot (let other ready dancers go first), or attempt to reschedule you later in the day.

EXAMPLE ONE: Isabella’s mom buys a 4-costume package. Isabella must be in all 4 booked sessions, one for each of her costumes. Isabella’s sister, Jessica, can be in the second costume session, and Isabella’s friend, Megan, can be in the forth costume session. However, neither Jessica or Megan can be photographed by themselves during Isabella’s 4 sessions.

EXAMPLE TWO: Megan’s dad buys her a 2-costume package. Megan has a sister, Julie, who is also a dancer at Dimensions. Megan can have one individual session and then one buddy session with her sister. Or, Megan and Julie can be together in the both sessions purchased. However, they can not each be by themselves in one of Megan’s sessions. Julie would need her own package if she wanted separate individuals.

  • You can purchase more than one session, even if you just want to repeat the same costume and get more poses (or incorporate a prop). Just be sure to have new poses or props ready to go. The photographer may not remember that you’ve already done the standard two poses, so you need to mix it up yourself!

  • To minimize your time waiting for photos, try to schedule your individual sessions as close as possible to the scheduled class photoshoot for the same costume.

  • If something isn’t clear, or you don’t quite understand how your situation fits into all this, no problem! Just shoot an email to photos@dimensions.dance and we’ll help you out! You can also talk to our front desk staff next time your in the studio.
